How to Volunteer

The Community Kitchen relies on the hard work and dedication of its volunteers. The Centenary United Methodist Church of Lambertville welcomes anyone interested in becoming involved and offers opportunities in various volunteer positions for the Community Kitchen. Listed below are the outlines of the different types of volunteer opportunities needed at the kitchen and how to sign up to volunteer. Click HERE to watch a video about the Community Kitchen!

Food Prep: Every Tuesday, 5:30PM-8:30PM

We are always looking for volunteers to help Tuesday night to help prep food for Wednesday’s lunch. Some of the food prep can include cutting fruits and vegetables, peeling vegetables, or making one or two meals ahead of time.

Working in the Kitchen: Every Wednesday, 9:00AM-2:30PM

Most of the volunteer help needed to run the community kitchen is on Wednesdays when the lunch is offered to the community. Volunteers help set up, run, and clean up the Community Kitchen each week. Duties for volunteers include making various meals for the lunch, restocking food when it gets low, prepping food for the meals, and/or cleaning up when the lunch is done. Help is needed from 9:00am-11:30am (set up and food prep) and 11:30am-2:30pm (food service and clean up). Volunteers can schedule one shift or multiple shifts depending on their schedules.

Signing up to volunteer is now easier than ever!

Once you have chosen a volunteer shift that works with your schedule, email or call using the information below. You will receive a confirmation response when your request is processed.
